This page is a comprehensive list of all of our current service dogs in training and where they are currently receiving training with our staff or puppy raisers. Some of the dogs on this page have been already matched with applicants, while others are still in the evaluation phase of our training program or are too young to be matched with anyone yet. We do not even begin to match a dog with an applicant until they have been in our program a minimum of two months, are a minimum of one year old, and have passed the evaluation phase of our training.
We get our dogs from a variety of different sources and at a variety of different ages. Most of our dogs come from our service dog breeding program, but occasionally some come from other breeders, rescues, shelters, or people unable to keep their pets. Regardless of where our dogs came from, we health screen and temperament test them thoroughly to make sure they have what it takes for such an important job. On average we have between 10-15 training dogs at a time, and out of those dogs about 60% of them make it all the way through our program and are placed as fully trained service dogs.
Please understand that we do not let applicants pick out their future service dog from our unmatched dogs because every dog and person's needs and personality are different. While we don't let applicants pick their specific dog, we do take the preferences they list on their application into consideration and have phone consultations with applicants before officially pairing them with a dog to make sure everyone is feeling good about the match.
