The Service Dog Connection is dedicated to making quality custom service dogs as affordable as possible for people in need. Even though we try to reduce the total cost of our service dogs for everyone, we understand that coming up with funds can still be challenging. This is why The Service Dog Connection has started a scholarship fund for low-income service dog applicants who need further financial assistance to obtain a service dog from our program through a GoFundMe Campaign. All donations to The Service Dog Connection's Scholarship Program are tax deductible and we can give donation receipts to anyone needing it for tax purposes.
Scholarships range from $1,000-$4,000 per approved applicant depending on the applicant's situation, and the total cost of their service dog. Applicants must have at least enough funds raised to pay for the service dog deposit to be considered for the scholarship, and the scholarship funds must be put to use within two years of the funds being awarded or they will be reallocated to another applicant. The funds are intended to assist families that have put in some fundraising efforts already, but find themselves stuck and just a bit short of raising the final amount of funds for their service dog.
